Network Support Specialist

We’re looking for a dedicated Network Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in providing technical support and expertise to our clients, end-users, and staff, ensuring robust and reliable network performance.

Our nursing recruitment division offers two exciting pathways: the Green Card and Student Visa programs. Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Assist with administration and operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to company policies and procedures

  2. Coordinating and implementing network configuration and hardware upgrades

  3. Troubleshooting and resolving LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems

  4. Network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems

  5. Participate in the network team that handles day-to-day management of email security and end user cyber awareness training

  6. Manage and maintain a large wireless infrastructure with other network team members

  7. Work as a team member with other technical staff to ensure high-quality support services to end users

  8. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network

  9. Document network problems and resolutions for future reference

  10. Other duties as assigned

Additional responsibilities may include: 

  1. Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource

  2. Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members

What are we looking for? 

  1. Minimum of two years of network administration experience.

  2. Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts and hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities.

  3. Proficient in managing and configuring network devices, with a strong emphasis on Cisco products.

  4. Experience with managing firewalls and understanding of security best practices.

  5. Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot Cisco Call Manager and related VoIP services.

  6. Familiarity with managing and monitoring network circuits.

  7. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and possess exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

  8. Experience with server management and monitoring tools.

  9. Knowledge of IP infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.

  10. Cisco, Extreme, or Barracuda hardware experience is highly preferred.
