We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to design, develop, optimize, and support database-driven applications and reporting solutions. The role involves full participation in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), close collaboration with development teams and subject matter experts, and ensuring high standards of data accuracy, performance, security, and documentation. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working across database, application, and reporting layers, including leveraging AI tools within the development cycle.

SQL Developer

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve database, application, and reporting-related issues in a timely and structured manner.

  • Document designs, develop, test, and maintain SQL databases, queries, stored procedures, and related components according to departmental standards.

  • Anticipate and devise possible solutions to application and database-related problems.

  • Test deliverables satisfactorily to ensure accuracy of data according to departmental standards prior to release.

  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for new and existing systems.

  • Provide customers and team members with timely, relevant, and accurate information so that they can make accurate decisions.

  • Use appropriate tools and methodology for development.

  • Develop, test, and deploy reporting and analytics solutions using SSRS, SSIS, and Power BI.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security prior to release of deliverables.

  • Anticipate potential application, database, and security issues and recommend solutions.

  • Follow established standards for version control, tools, and methodologies.

  • Assist with database administration tasks including maintenance and backups.

  • Analyze and tune database queries and design to improve performance.

  • Utilize AI tools throughout the development lifecycle to improve productivity and quality.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred; professional certifications considered.

  • Minimum 5 years of Microsoft T-SQL development experience preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of reporting development experience preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of front-end development experience using .NET technologies.

  • Experience with full-stack development involving .NET and SQL Server.

  • Strong understanding of database administration concepts and ETL processes.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of: Microsoft T-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS, Relational database concepts, Database architecture, Database administration, Microsoft Access, Office, Visio, and VBA.
